Each year, we celebrate the achievements of the Harvard University Graduate School of Design’s graduating class by organizing an exhibition of their work. In the space of a physical exhibition, it is only possible to provide a glimpse of the excellent projects our students produce during their studies at the GSD. This year, however, with an enriched virtual showcase, we can enjoy and admire both the vast breadth of interests and perspectives represented across the School, as well as their convergence toward fundamental questions of design’s broader agency; we can celebrate the School’s people and projects in all of their individuality, while absorbing their collective whole. In this, I find a remarkable opportunity to pause and reflect, with evermore optimism for our future.
